This is an 18K rose gold Jaeger LeCoultre Master Grande Memovox Perpetual, 146.24.2A. It has a two-body, polished, solid case and case back with 6 screws; the bezel is concave with curved lugs. The alarm-winding crown is at 2 o'clock, the time-set winding crown is at 4 o'clock, and there is a push button on the side of the case at 8 o'clock. The dial is Satina silver with applied rose gold dart-shaped index markers with luminescent dots. This perpetual calendar has four subdials, with the months at 12 o'clock, the date at 9 o'clock, and the day at 3. The moonphase dial is at 6 o'clock. It has luminous, polished rose gold hands and a distinctive red-tipped arrow marker on the alarm hand. The outer track has a 1/5th second graduated ring.
The caliber 909-440 automatic movement is rhodium plated with fausses cotes decoration. It has 36 jewels, a monometallic balance with 4 adjustments, and a straight-line lever escapement. There is a shock absorber and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. The leather band has a matching rose gold deployant buckle. In 1950 Jaeger-LeCoultre produced the initially hand-wound, caliber 489 Memovox Watch with a unique striking mechanism called the 'voice of memory', allowing the wearer to input alarm schedules. The caliber 814 also contained a date display. The Memovox calibers now are made with automatic mechanisms and an assortment of complications, as in this watch.
