The Limited Edition Opera Scarface from the brand is filled with amazing features, and in collaboration with Universal Pictures they were able to use Al Pacino’s likeness, and with the push of a button you have the Bolivia Theme from he movie playing on your wrist. Two versions of the 49mm timepiece were crafted, one in 18k rose gold and one in black Diamond Like Carbon titanium, with only 88 pieces of each being manufactured. This incredible timepiece is breathtaking, from the artwork to the inner workings, no detail was left out.
Impactful and Impressive
The brand details are always impressive on the timepieces, but this latest Jacob & Co. Limited-Edition Opera Scarface has integrated the movie details including artwork from the poster and images that are unbelievable. The music theme plays when a pusher is activated at 10 on the dial, and features two music box cylinders with spindles. The watch has a triple-axis tourbillon opposite the dial that displays the time, and the escapement compensates for errors. The dial artwork is beyond words, one can see the black lacquered grand piano sitting on the dial diagonally opposite the Scarface poster and the keys move as the music plays. The intricate details the brand has added on this timepiece truly make it a work of art. The center spot on the dial is adorned with a tiny red globe that has the words “The World is Yours’ in gold.
Power All Around
Certainly if the magnificent artwork and music are not enough from this powerful brand, the complex watch movement should convince anyone that this timepiece is a collectors piece for sure. Jacob & Co. provided the 658 pieces within this movement, wound via a violin-shaped crank on the case side, and two separate power reserves for the time and music box. The music can be played three times before needing to be wound, and does not impact the 42 hour power reserve or timekeeping functions. While the brand Opera collection has introduced some amazing timepieces, the Scarface is a stand out piece.
