Of late, Hublot - the reputable designer watch company that symbolizes 'fusion between tradition and future through its design, knowledge and materials' has been in the limelight for its partnerships with other renowned brands. The designer watch company recently announced its official and very exclusive partnership with none other than Ferrari and probably this is the best and biggest Hublot deal till date. Hublot - Ferrari partnership that was officially announced in November 2011 is still being talked about in offline as well as online media.
A number of designer watch companies actively look for sponsorships opportunities and partnerships to ensure more effective marketing and advertising but the Hublot - Ferrari partnership is the biggest announcement that the watch industry has seen in the recent times.
The duo has also released a stylish, designer watch called the Hublot Big Bang Chrono Tourbillon Ferrari and this was launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Ferrari car sold in China. Unfortunately, the collector’s item is limited to just 20 pieces. The watch was offered in a 44mm wide all carbon fiber case with red tinted sapphire crystal. The designer watch has a Ferrari logo as part of the chronograph sub dial. The movement is the Hublot caliber 6300 column-wheel chronograph with tour-billon and power reserve. Brand Hublot considers this as a bit of a preview for a larger Ferrari watch collection from that is supposed to debut at Baselworld 2012.
This Hublot - Ferrari partnership is (for now) a five year deal, and was announced at the Mugello international circuit near Florence, Italy. As per CEO for Hublot, Jean-Claude Biver and Ferrari President Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, this joint venture would go far beyond just a Ferrari branded watch and banners at events. The collaboration would involve branding, resources, operations and all events. Further, this makes Hublot the official timepiece brand for Ferrari, Scuderia Ferrari as also the Ferrari Challenge and all Ferrari special events. The elegant, designer watch brand will also promote Ferrari at its corporate events and other formal and informal occasions.
The deal happened in November 2011 but it is still buzzing in the auto world as well as the watch industry. Obviously when two reputable brands come closer, they can bring better and more interesting products and services for the consumer. What will you 'watch' out for?
