Romain Jerome 125th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty Watch

His line of Titanic inspired watches definitely gives a look and feel like the watches came right off the ship itself. When you look at his watches, it is unmistakable as to what kind of theme he is going for. To help celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, Romain Jerome has released a limited edition watch that will only be available for a short time. When you see this watch, you will understand why it is destined to become another classic Romain Jerome design that is unmistakable in its homage to Lady Liberty and New York.

The look of the watch utilizes the colors of the Statue of Liberty and the feel of New York in the late 1800s to help create something that watch collectors have never seen before. Romain Jerome watch contrasts the green of Lady Liberty with the bronze color found throughout the statue to create something that is extremely memorable. The face is protected by a bronze-colored window design that looks like something right out of a 1930s New York City skyscraper. The design was obviously inspired by the windows in the Statue of Liberty, but Romain Jerome manages to incorporate New York City into his design as well.

A closer look at the green face of the watch shows a texture reminiscent of the texture found on the Statue of Liberty because it is an actual piece of the statue itself. He gives his design a relic look and feel that makes the watch look 125 years old, but it does not feel 125 years old. The frailty of the look is deceptive as the watch itself is extremely durable. It is wrapped in a polished metal that adds to the throwback feel of the watch. The bronze face is also designed to change color over time, just as the bronze in the Statue of Liberty will change as it is continually exposed to the elements.

Because the watch contains an actual piece of the Statue of Liberty, Romain Jerome is calling his watch design a "Liberty DNA timepiece". In keeping with the 125th anniversary theme, only 125 of these watches will be produced. This is your chance to own a piece of American history that can only appreciate in value as the Statue of Liberty continues to get older.
