Family Tradition

Founded in 1924 in Valenza, Italy by Enrico Grassi, Damiani is a leading
company of luxury watches and jewelry. The brand is highly regarded in
Italian and International markets, and a leader in style around the globe. The
family brand was built on creativity, design and entrepreneurial spirit. Over a
century the passion has passed from generation to generation, art and
exquisite workmanship driving the tradition. Exclusive designs, and
unsurpassed quality are what has been the foundation for the brand to build
the empire.

Industrial Expansion
Enrico’s son, Damiano, took the brand in a new direction in the 1960’s.
Working to grow the company, the process of industrial expansion started and
promotion of research and design was elevated. These actions proved
evolutionary for the company. Concepts that were considered revolutionary at
this time helped growth for the brand around the globe. Guaranteed pricing,
collection catalogues and recognition awards brought significant publicity to
the brand and spurred additional growth. In 1976 the brand received the first
Diamonds International Award, it is awarded for best design and best creation
of jewelry with diamonds. The brand went on to win the award over 17 times.

International Growth Propelled with Testimonials
Damiani continued their expansions, and successfully designed and
worked with a number of famous people during the 1980’s and 1990’s. One
of the first companies to use testimonials, show business personalities
became the center of high impact advertising. Silvia Grassi and her brother
Giorgio became active in the company in the early 1990’s and brought their
talents to the forefront of the brand. Covering every area of the company,
family members worked together to pilot the brand and never miss a beat.
Expanding and opening the first international branches in Switzerland, the
United States and Japan, the brand never lost the passion.

From Family To Stock Exchange
The Damiani family took the company public at the end of the 1990’s and
slowly changes began with new brand creations, and numerous acquisitions.
Being one of the few high-end jewelry groups to achieve such transitions and
continue to excel the brand proved to be a force. International growth has
never ceased for the brand as Asia markets expand and stores maintain
growth. The family passion breathes new life into every design and continues
to look forward.
