While this is not a new timepiece, it is one of the most exquisite and lovely watches crafted by Breguet. The Classique Power Reserve 7137 collection really epitomizes what this brand is about. The heritage and designs that are created here have all been carefully planned out, and bring quality, reliability and aesthetic beauty with each timepiece.
The case on this timepiece has a coined-edge side and lugs that are quite simple, while it showcases a beautiful guilloche engraved dial. From the foundation of the brand, the pocket watch has provided a classic layout and design for the timepieces. The complications feature the moon phase indicator, the power reserve indicator, as well the mastery of the asymmetric and symmetrical well balanced dials. Certainly this 39mm wide timepiece is not large, it is a wonderful size for a dress watch, and the thin bezel allows it to be extremely wearable and legible.
The Breguet Classique Power Reserve 7137 Watch is in fact an evolved and enlarged version of the brand 3137 timepiece. Both feature the same complications, but have different dial designs and case sizes. This more modern timepiece has a more intricate dial as far as the design goes, while maybe not quite as elegant as the original. The 3137 was slightly smaller in size but certainly this slightly larger timepiece is still very comfortable to wear for any occasion.
This collection features masterful executions of design, and skilled crafting for the hand-operated rose engines. There are various styles for the cases in this collection, and various dials, but they are all amazing and the aesthetic styles work together for elegant and attractive results. Besides the intricate guilloche engraving on the dial, you can also find the skilled work on the surface of the automatic rotor which is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The striking blued steel hands coupled with the silvery guilloche engraved dial makes these timepieces very legible and enhances the enduring love of these pieces.
While Breguet Classique uses techniques that have been around for well over 200 years to create and craft these collections, they still manage to craft modern timepieces that grow even more adored. The 7137 collection is home to the in-house made brand caliber 502.3 DRI automatic movement. Offering a power reserve of 45 hours and only 8.65mm thick. Looking closely at the timepiece rear you can see the slightly off-centered automatic rotor through the caseback, and slightly under the brand name on the dial is the number 4923. That number which is also on the back of the case, and part of the serial number is also part of a unique system the brand uses to ensure the watch remains unaltered so that all pieces remain the same.
You can find the timepieces in 18k white gold, 18k yellow gold and they are finished with a lovely black or brown alligator strap, and matching gold deployant clasp. A timepiece that is filled with history, expertise, and exceptional care, you can always count on the brand to deliver excellence.
