Cartier Pasha Moon Phases 41mm Watch

Legendary Pasha

Cartier has been around for such a long time and always has origin

stories that add history and relevance to their timepieces.  The Pasha Moon Phase 41mm Watch is one that dates back to the 1930’s when the design was originally created for the Pasha of Marrakesh.  According to legend, he led a very physical lifestyle and wanted a waterproof watch that he could wear swimming, but still be elegant and exquisite enough to work with his very opulent lifestyle.  Now that timepiece has been gone for a very long time, and if it resembles the Pasha of today we don’t really know, but the new designs are quite spectacular and would be quite stunning on any arm.

Complicated Pasha

The Cartier Pasha Moon Phase watches are quite fabulous.  The dress watches have been designed in the new 41mm case, and are coupled with a smooth bezel, rather than a rotating one, and then crafted with the exquisite dial that features the moonphase complication.  The brand has introduced two models, the steel case and the 18k rose gold case.  Both of the watches are striking and beautiful.  The moonphase complications are very popular mainly because of the look not so much for the use as you might expect.  Many of the brands have latched on to crafting moonphase complications because of extreme popularity.  This latest design from Cartier is not the only moon phase watch in the collection, but certainly the more modern and creative.

Pasha Inside and Out

Cartier Pasha Moon Phase watches in the 41mm cases are powered by the in house caliber 1904-LU MC, which is the standard 4Hz, two day power reserve automatic with the moonphase module on it.  The dial is so decorative and certainly the brand puts emphasis on it.  The hours and minutes are displayed and sitting above the 6 o’clock position is the moonphase display.  The dial is textured, has great use of color, and the brand does a great job of utilizing the visual space better on these watches than on previous versions.  The blue hands and matching hour markers are very legible and the symmetry is excellent.  As a modern dress watch, or a very elegant sports watch, the tool-less strap release system is quite excellent in allowing the owner to change straps easily.  Included with the watches is a blue and gray colored alligator strap so if you want to switch the metal bracelet on the steel version you have the option. The case itself on these beauties is 9.55mm thick and provides the view of the movement through the sapphire case back window.  Quite posh inside and out, the Cartier Pasha Moon Phase watches provide excellent choices.
