The timepiece is the utmost in refined beauty, with 18K white gold casing, and 3.2 carat weight of black diamonds which total 53 along the outer ring of the watch dial. A fitting companion to this magnificent timepiece will be the Caviar ensemble, in 925 sterling silver, a server and spoon set with marquetry, forming a total set of which is limited edition to 99 units worldwide.

The Royal Black Caviar luxury watch revealed at Baselworld 2013 will feature a 44mm wide dial, crafted from the 18K white gold, and encrusted with the black diamonds that form the outer ring. The main dial is manufactured with sterling silver, but is coated with black enamel and white numerals for a very classic contrast. Certainly one of the most striking aspects of the design is the strapping, made exclusively from stingray leather from the Indo-Pacific region. The artistry of this strap provides the impression that the band is decorated with black caviar eggs.

The inner excellence of the timepiece features a mechanical winding movement SW07, which is hand engraved and has 17 jewels crafted into the construction. Robbe & Berking, mostly known for their work on luxury yachts, and the craftsmanship of silver work, were on hand to lend their talents to the creation of this caviar set. Including an old-world style server, complete with sturgeon handle, the set has an artistic design and also is complete with 2 spoons made from 24K white gold.

Each set will be presented by His Highness York Prince of Shaumburg-Lippe to the new owners, since they were designed as a tribute to great-grandmother, Grand Duchess Wera Konstantinowa Romanowa of Russia. In celebration of the four hundred year anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty, the watch is a most exquisite piece.
