The designers recognized the significance of the mechanical masterpiece, which is still exclusive to this brand, opening the opportunity to create the dual time zone display. The new release pays tribute to the original by maintaining the silver-toned dial with the baton shaped hour markers and dagger shaped hands, in addition it also features the small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Reflecting the original design, the inscription “Reverso” was also retained.

The single movement powers the two dials of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Duoface. Maintaining the historical legacy, manufacturing the same balance of elegance and exquisite technical excellence, the brand created a true masterpiece. This luxury watch is offered in both 18K rose gold or steel, and a beautiful black alligator leather strap with a buckle that matches the case.

In 1931, the brand debuted the swivel case wristwatch, specially designed for the British colonial army officers that were stationed in India and had a passion for polo. To make this hand crafted marvel even more exceptional, the creators could also personalize this model with an engraved monogram, family crest or motif.

The welcome reception to this marvelous timepiece was not entirely due to the technical advances, the wristwatch was also very aesthetically pleasing. Considered to be Art Deco genius, the watch design allowed for emblematic gadroons with a very elegant balance for the pure lines and rectangular case shape. Other watch designs were far behind this brilliance.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Duoface case houses the slim movement, a manually wound Caliber 854/1, only 3.8 mm thick. The movement is comprised of 180 parts, and the balance oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The brand is respected and revered for this dual time zone capability, by watchmakers and wearers, the timepiece opened new doors for those who crossed the global time zones for both fun and work. A characteristic that impacted watch-making history and embodies the essence that the brand continues to manufacture.
