1890-1900. Guido Panerai, grandson of the founder, expand the businessof his grandfather and gives new impetus to the cause - specialized in high precision mechanisms. 1900. At the beginning of the century, opened a watch shop on "Piazza» - Piazza San Giovanni in Florence. At the time, this shop in the center of Florence, had the fame of the best shopping accurate clocks in the city. During this period, made the first deliveries of precision optical and mechanical instruments to the Ministry of Defense.
1915-1918. Royal Italian Navy uses the precision instruments made by the Panerai, during the First World War. Children 1934 Guido Panerai, Giuseppe and Maria, continue to develop the business of their father. Maria mainly manages the shop Orologeria Svizzera, while Giuseppe devotes himself almost entirely the business of the company - the supply of subsea tools, torches, compasses and depth gauges to the Royal Italian Navy.
In 1936 the company was renamed in Officine Panerai, is the Radiomir watch - a prototype watch for divers, created solely for the secret torpedo group. Watches are characterized by high water resistance and reliability. The clock used proprietary assembly design of the crown, ensuring tightness at depth. It uses the mechanism with manual winding manufacture Rolex.
In the mid-1990s Panerai fulfilled orders received by Sylvester Stallone. The actor was playing a major role in the action movie "Daylight", shot partly carried out in Italy, Stallone became acquainted with the brand. The order was made, but Stallone didn’t like the result: it seemed to him that the Luminor watch with white dial is not suitable with blue indexes and hands. He asked to be replaced embarrass its color to black.
