Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT Orange Ceramic Watch In Platinum

The brand developed this unique timepiece and placed a very specific phrase on the back of the case, “World Premiere” engraved adjacent to the limited edition number on the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT Orange Ceramic Watch in Platinum. The phrase introduces the timepiece in an impressive manner, showcasing the unique nature of this piece, and the brands limited edition quantity. Ceramic is extremely difficult to manufacture in colors, especially bright vibrant colors, because during the sintering process the color fades during baking. All brands are working to improve the process and to develop more colors. Hublot released the first red timepiece using this material in 2013, and proved that the process could work. Now this release leaves yellow the only remaining color yet to be successfully produced in a zirconium oxide. It took the brand five years to perfect this latest color. Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition a Quantieme Perpetuel 8 Jours SQ Watch Using more sophisticated industrial processes the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT Orange Ceramic Watch was crafted in solid 950 platinum, a very time consuming and expensive manufacturing process. The material needs pigment in order to get color, but with the hot process the pigments dissapate, but the brand discovered that a very specific rare earth element helps to stabilize the pigments, and the color survives. However, sometimes the process can cause brittle and fragile problems with the material, so it is something the brand is having to watch closely. Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition a Quantieme Perpetuel 8 Jours SQ Watch The timepiece was produced with only eight pieces, and while more are planned to be manufactured, currently the piece has not only the brightly colored bezel, but also utilizes the brand's Liquid Metal technology. The Liquid Metal which is used to fill in the numerals and markers that are engraved into the bezel. In making the decision to use this particular design, the brand thought the color bezel would interchange with the 24 hour hand, playing off the color, and because of the 43mm case it is a perfect fit. The finish on the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT Orange Ceramic Watch is a shiny, sand-blasted polish, the dial has a silver glimmer, and the hands and hour markers are crafted from 18k white gold. The buckle is created from solid platinum, and the timepiece is water resistant up to 600 meters, and includes a helium release valve, something you would expect from a dive watch. The Co-Axial movement is an in-house design that is COSC Chronometer certified. Viewing the movement through the rear of the case has been made easy with the sapphire crystal back, and the exquisite 18k rose gold elements are displayed to their utmost in perfection. The matching color alligator strap or a matching rubber strap finishes off the timepiece and doesn't indicate the expensive nature of the piece. So while there are only 8 in this release, collectors can prepare for the launch of more.
