Patek Philippe Introduces Three New Chronograph Watches With Complications

Expansion & Contraction

Patek Philippe is introducing three new chronograph watches expanding the large selection the brand has created.  The three new variations of chronographs that the brand has developed to add to their vast repertoire are reference 5905/1A-001 featuring a flyback chronograph with annual calendar, reference 5930P-001 a world time flyback chronograph and the last but certainly not least is the striking reference 5204R-011 that has a split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar.  All are impressive and each one quite elegant in their own unique design.

Contemporary 5204R-011

The split-second exquisite chronograph with the perpetual calendar is heir to a very sought after piece from Patek Philippe that was been in production since 2016.  This new more contemporary design has combined the rose gold case with a matching slate gray dial and strap.  Very subtle and very refined, this entirely hand-polished rose gold case features detailed architecture accented the concave bezel and two-tier lugs.  The dial has complete legibility and showcases the day and month in two in-line apertures at 12 o’clock.  The date sitting at 6 o’clock has the moon-phase aperture and allow the small seconds and instantaneous 30 minute counter to be clear on the two subdials at 9 and 3 o’clock.  The timepiece allows for easy adjustment of the calendar and the Dauphine hands crafted in rose gold all feature the luminescent coating.  You can see the heart of caliber CHR29-535 PS Q with the transparent sapphire case back that provides a view of every meticulous detail.  Finishing off the timepiece with a shiny slate gray calf leather strap embossed with an alligator pattern was brilliant and just that touch of the rose gold fold over clasp shows the perfection that went into the design.

Sporty Flyback 5905/1A-001

The second beauty that Patek Philippe introduced is the self-winding fly back chronograph that sports the annual calendar, the 5905/1A-001.  This design was created with a steel version that integrated the bracelet and catches the eye with the green sunburst dial.  Previously the original designs were launched in platinum and rose gold, but the brand wanted to provide more of a bold and casual design on this creation.  The olive green sunburst dial really helps to ensure excellent legibility and sets the stage for the large 60-minute sub dial at 6 o’clock and three day/date/month apertures arranged for easy and instant readability.  This chronograph also displays the caliber CH28-520 QA 24 H through that easily visible sapphire case back, however unlike others instead of a toothed-wheel horizontal clutch, this features a vertical disk-type clutch, a modern solution to allow for almost zero wear and tear.  Very stunning the polished steel case has recessed sides on the concave bezel and the steel bracelet was inspired by the Aquanaut 5167/1A.

Green With Envy The 5930P-001

A cult favorite, the predecessor of this beauty really inspired this creation as Patek Philippe wanted the 5930P-001 to make everyone envious of such a beautiful creation.  The World Time Fly back Chronograph has taken a striking platinum case and coupled it with a vibrant emerald green dial and very vintage feel inspired silver city ring. The finishing touch for this clever timepiece is the very green alligator strap and green cities list, balancing contrast and colo.  The timepiece case is 39.5mm and has the caliber 28-520HU which merges the world time display and fly back chronograph,  The inspiration for this one came from a one of a kind model designed in the 40’s.  The brand really redesigned with a much more sporty take, and a spirit all it’s own.  This bold new version have the names printed in green on the corresponding disk and the craftsmanship on this timepiece is spectacular.  The white gold Dauphine hands highlighted with the luminescent coating ensure legibility and really make the dial pop.  The diamond placed at 6 o’clock is iconic for the brand and significant for this creation that displays 24 time zones.
