Fast n Furious
In an effort to propel Vacheron Constantin’s luxury sports timepiece to the next level, they have added a self-winding tourbillon movement to the Overseas collection, and introduced this new piece. While the timepiece is true to the sports genre, they are presenting the exquisite watch in stainless steel with a ultra thin case. This brand collection certainly needs no introduction as it has been a popular with collectors and horological enthusiasts for years, furiously famous and this one will go very fast.
Do What You Know
Vacheron Constantin produces a very limited number of timepieces annually, so with the Overseas Tourbillon Watch one can expect that the majority of collectors will never see one. Focused on doing what the brand does best and creating masterpiece watches with meticulous construction and excellent execution on precision this creation embraces the entire package. With a case that is slightly larger, 42.5mm in diameter, yet only 10.39 mm thick, the design has the tourbillon sitting in that slim case and featuring a translucent blue-lacquered dial. The open worked carriage was crafted in shape like a Maltese Cross. Beauty and the beast certainly has been captured in this watch.
Inside Out
The Overseas collection has an array of dial colors, but this sunburst-satin finished dial on this piece is striking with the 18k white gold hands and hour markers, each coated in white lume. The 22k gold peripheral rotor is spectacular and while it has been done before, it brings a sense of character to the timepiece. Of course it also provides the view of the magnificent tourbillon and gives purpose to the overall design. The movement has a strong heart beating at 2.5 Hz and sports a 80 hour power reserve. The hand bevelled carriage is clearly a mark of excellence and keeps traditions strong. Inside this timepiece is the Calibre 2160, created with 188 parts, self winding and endorsed with the Hallmark of Geneva Seal.
Ending With Love
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon Watch is finished with the strap interchangeability concept, so think options! The design is unique with a steel half-Maltese Cross bracelet, a blue Mississippiensis alligator leather strap, or a rubber strap and easy to change for every mood you might find yourself in. There is nothing you would not love about this latest timepiece by a brand you know does things right. Expect this watch to be hard to find, and even harder to hold on to.
