In crafting this timepiece, the brand wanted to set off the highly distinct qualities of the platinum, the metal that was discovered in the 18
th century by Antonio de Ulla, an explorer and astronomer. Being the noblest of all metals, a 95% pure metal, 75% 18-carat gold, platinum is sourced from a limited supply of deposits, those consisting of magmatic rock complexes.
