Design, Dedication, Delight
This delightful timepiece measures at 36.5mm in diameter and only 8.43mm thick, crafted from solid 18k gold, either white or pink. Designed with a classic round shape, the Vacheron Constantin Women’s Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin watch has been crafted with a thin bezel and small lugs that curve off the side and down to the wrist, allowing for a perfect fit. Dedicated to excellence in design, the color of gold does not interfere with the setting of 76 round-cut diamonds, and a winding crown that also has a diamond embedded. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal and a second crystal is placed over the screw-on caseback to provide the unobstructed view of the very beautiful movement. As with other perpetual calendar timepieces, the various displays are set with a series of small push buttons located on the side of the case. While the timepiece is water resistant up to 30 meters, most will not be dipping their diamonds in water to test the depth.
Dial “E” for Excellence
The dial for this Women’s Traditionnele Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is one of Vacheron Constantin’s best and most breathtaking designs. Featuring a blue-gray tinted mother of pearl surface for the white gold, and a white mother of pearl for the pink gold, the watch dial is striking and so elegant on the wrist. The design is traditional as the name would suggest, a perpetual calendar display, three register plus moonphase layout, day, date, and month each with a separate register. The leap year indicator shares the month display and the moonphase complication is placed toward the 6 o’clock location. Polished and perfect dauphine style hands direct us to the time sitting against a railway minutes track printed in white, and highlighted with white gold baton hour markers. Setting the moonphase disc in a similar blue-gray tone matching the dial and then having the moon and stars depicted in white gold to match the metal of the case and dial architecture, really just accents the beauty of the timepiece. Powering this beast is the in-house Caliber 1120QP.

The Vacheron Constantin Women’s Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin consists of 276 components and runs at 19,800vph, extending the power reserve to 40 hours. The watch is fitted with a blue-gray alligator leather strap with a calfskin lining and a 18k white gold buckle which has been crafted with 17 round-cut diamonds to match the case. The strap is also equipped with the quick-release system, innovative and allows easy to change straps tool-free.
