The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 “200th Anniversary F. A. Lange” Ref. 236.049 is a highly collectible limited-edition model created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ferdinand Adolph Lange. Limited to only 200 pieces, this platinum version combines historical inspiration with the exceptionally precise finishing associated with modern A. Lange & Söhne watchmaking.

The 40 mm case is crafted from 950 platinum and measures approximately 8.8 mm thick. Its black dial provides a dramatic contrast to the traditional Arabic numerals, railway-track minute scale, and subsidiary seconds display at 6 o'clock. The restrained layout reflects the pocket-watch-inspired design language of the 1815 collection.

The watch is powered by the manually wound A. Lange & Söhne Caliber L051.1, providing approximately 55 hours of power reserve. The movement offers hours, minutes, and small seconds and is finished according to Lange's traditional standards, including hand-decorated components visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

A black alligator leather strap and platinum prong buckle complete the watch. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters. With its 200-piece production, platinum construction, and historical significance, Ref. 236.049 represents a particularly important limited edition within the 1815 family.

It took a while maybe a month or two I don't remember quite well, could have even taken a bit more but I must admit, when I got my watch it was fully authentic and I was so happy with this company. I won't lie, watchmakers have done a good job of making you feel skeptical every time you don't go into a branded boutique and pay full retail (or more), but my experience with World of Luxury was a great one.
